McKinley EXPLORER RAIL
Step back in history as you climb aboard for one of the most
scenic rail journeys in the world. This is a four-hour trip
between Fairbanks and Denali, and an eight-hour ride between
Denali and Anchorage.

Imagine a full day of wildlife! Dall sheep, grizzly, and
moose are the keepers of this wild kingdom, so keep your
binoculars handy on this six to eight hour safari.

Denali National Park. Featuring the monumental Mt.McKinley, Denali is
home to a great variety of wildlife. Your journey begins with a
breathtaking ride on the McKinley Explorer Rail. As you journey
towards Denali, Alaska's landscape opens up to you, displaying its
magnitude and grandeur. Some of the highlights on this spectacular
train ride are Hurricane Gulch, the highest bridge on the rail at 296
feet above the Chulita River, and Summit, aptly named for the highest
point on the rail-2,363 feet above sea level.
The Denali Wilderness Safari introduces you to the
inhabitants of Denali, the wildlife. Your safari guide points out the
sights along the way and regales you with tales of Mt. McKinley lore.
