Grade: EasyDay 1: Perth - Goundrey Wines - Porongurups - Albany
Depart Perth and travel south to Mt Barker and the Goundrey Winery, enjoy sightseeing through the Porongurup Ranges, arriving in Albany late afternoon.
Overnight: Albany - share twin motel room.Day 2: Cruise King George Sound - Gap - Whaleworld
Join a cruise of Albany’s natural harbour, before getting back on land and exploring some of the rugged southern coastline at the ‘Gap’ and Natural Bridge, and tour over the Albany Whaleworld complex. Overnight: Albany - share twin motel room.Day 3: Nuyts Wilderness Area - Treetop Walk - Animal Spotlighting
After travelling from Albany, get up into the canopy of the forest on the Treetop walk in the ‘Valley of the Giants’. Cruise Nornalup Inlet into the Nuyts Wilderness area, and spotlight for native forest animals at Perup Wilderness Lodge.
Overnight: Perup - twin room/share facilities.Day 4: Perup - Manjimup - Perup
Climb the Diamond fire lookout tree, and perhaps purchase the local freshwater crayfish called ‘Marron’ for lunch. Overnight: Perup - twin room/share facilities.Day 5: Perup - Cape Leeuwin - Margaret River - Perth
Travel to Cape Leeuwin, where two oceans meet - the Indian and Southern. Travel via Augusta to Caves Road, walk through an underground cave system before a late arrival into Perth.INCLUSIONS: 2 nights motel, 2 nights share cabin (sleeping bag and towel required), 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 2 dinners. Baggage limited to 10kgs (22lbs).
