The walks are suited to people of all ages and abilities, expert nature guides lead the walks.
The scenery is breathtaking - massive sand dunes, wild headlands, quiet estuaries, beautiful heathlands and forests, miles of untrodden beaches and the ever present Southern Ocean.
General Information:
The Wilderness Coast Walks are relatively easy compared to mountain and forest walking. Few steep gradients, the majority of walking on sandy surfaces, and coastal temperatures generally tempered by the ocean with few dramatic variations.Walking averages about 5 hours or 12 kms (7 miles) per day with only a lightweight pack, and it is possible to miss a day or two walking and travel with the support vehicle.
Aboriginal Culture
You will be travelling through one of the richest Aboriginal areas in Australia and will frequently come across signs of past camps and occasional artifacts. Some traditional foods may be eaten depending on the season.Inclusions:
Transfers, transport, all meals from dinner on day 1 (from lunch on day 1 EG1, EG2, EG3), accommodation, all camping gear including bedding, all National Park fees, knowledgeable and experienced guides.Accommodation on WCW Walks and EG Expeditions is at B&B’s and 4 star camps. Showers and toilets are provided at base camps.
