Forming the largest inland delta in the world, the Okavango Delta is a pristine wilderness of looping channels which can be explored using one or more of the superb game lodges selected by Ivory. Transportation to the camps will be by light aircraft, and once within the Delta’s wetlands, there will be an assortment of game viewing activities which can include escorted nature walks, game viewing drives, mokora dugouts , and even after-dark drives within this tangled domain of part water, part savannah natural setting. The choice of accommodation includes Sandibe Safari Lodge and the Eagle Island Camp at Xaxaba.
The Sandibe Safari Lodge elevates eco-safaris to new heights: no trees were cut down in the construction of this lodge which blends perfectly into the natural beauty of the surrounding forest.
The floodplains of the Okavango Delta are host to the big game of elephant, buffalo and hippo as well as the graceful sitatunga, giraffe, zebra, and of course prides of lion.
