After a night in Nairobi at the renowned Norfolk Hotel, the safari starts with a visit to the Ark treehotel in the Aberdare forest where facilities include an elevated open verandah allowing undisturbed views of the wildlife visiting the waterhole. This is followed by a short drive north to the Sweetwaters Tented Camp located in the privately owned 24,000 acres Ol Pajeta Game Reserve which affords magnificent views across the game-studded Laikipia Plains, and snow-covered Mount Kenya in the distance.
Spend a night at the playground for the rich and famous, the magnificent Mount Kenya Safari Club, before flying to the Masai Mara. As the northern extension of the Serengeti eco-system, the Mara offers perhaps the greatest diversity of wildlife in Kenya including Wildebeest, Hippo, Elephant, Cheetah and Lion.
