The dream began more than seventy years ago, when two friends stood for the first time on the banks of the Sand River, where the water ran clear and cool over the granite rocks and the untouched bushveld stretched to the horizon. It is here, where that first campfire was built amidst the roar of lions, that Londolozi stands to this day, now three elegant camps and the first safari lodge to be awarded Relais & Chateaux membership.

Londolozi is the flagship of CCAfrica's vision: "To create a model in wise land management integrating international travelers and rural people to their mutual benefit and demonstrating that wildlife can be used on a sustainable basis by all."

Tree Camp:

Consisting of only six suites, affords elevated views of the wild bushveld beyond as it hovers 70 feet up, cradled by an ancient ebony tree. Each suite overlooks the Sand River and boasts its own cascading plunge pool and private sala an intimate covered deck in the treetops, thick with huge African cushions. Tree Camp suites offer a dreamy romance from their tree-shaded decks to sumptuous interiors of soft silks and suede, carved Zanzibarian lamps and spacious en-suite bathrooms where the flickering light from a candelabra plays over the heated stone floors, inlaid with pebbles from the Sand River.

Main Camp:

8 private rooms at Main Camp are warm and richly decorated in opulent tones of teak and velvet, offset with striking African design and floors inlaid with mosaics. Each air-conditioned room overlooks its own teak verandah and private plunge pool. Set apart from the rest of the camp lie the two exclusive Granite Suites, built on the great water-smoothed boulders which command the most spectacular views of the Sand River and their own rockpools.
